Donny Dozen Ale Trail: The pub crawl that takes in Doncaster's 12 best pubs

Real ale fans can now enjoy the Donny Dozen – 12 of the city centre’s best bars and pubs on a newly created pub crawl for beer buffs.

The route, drawn up by Visit Doncaster, takes participants on a tour of the city’s history – while enjoying the chance to have some top tipples in each of the twelve locations.

A spokesperson said: “With its history stretching right back to Roman times, Doncaster has long been a mecca for the thirsty traveller.

"To showcase this, our city centre hospitality forum and CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale, have joined together to compile the Donny Dozen Real Ale Trail, a route guiding the visitor through important stages in Doncaster’s history whilst enjoying the delights of the best and most historic hostelries.

“This trail starts and ends at the transport interchange though the venues can be enjoyed in any order you wish.”

Please note this is a guide only. Visitors are advised to check on opening times, facilities and amenities before any visit.
