Woman in hospital after serious two car smash shuts Doncaster road

Emergency services were called to Askern following the collision outside Askern Moss Road Infant Academy School in Moss Road shortly after 8am.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We were called at 8.14am earlier today (17 June) following reports of a two vehicle collision on Moss Road in Askern.

“It is reported that a grey Audi and a green Seat were involved in a collision.

“Emergency services, including Yorkshire Ambulance Service and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, attended the scene and a woman has been taken to hospital.

“The road was temporarily closed to allow for recovery of both vehicles but has since been reopened.”
