The masked gang struck at the home of Nikia Marshall in Brecks Lane, Kirk Sandall in broad daylight, putting windows through at the detached property before forcing their way in and hospitalising her after assaulting her.

Nikia, 24, a TikTok star has come in for criticism from the Traveller community in recent years for a web documentary TV series I Married A Traveller, in which she explains her decisions to marry into the community despite being a non-Traveller.

She has shared a video of the attack on her home on Monday evening in the hope of bringing the culprits to justice.

The clip shows a group of men racing down her drive. One can be seen hurling an object at an upstairs window before smashing the front of the property with a crowbar.

Other men can be seen targeting other windows at the house.

In a defiant Facebook message she said: “Five masked men broke in on top of me, I was on my own with my two dogs.

“One of them hit me on the cheek but I fought them off and I think I did a pretty good job to say I was a woman by myself.”

She is offering rewards for anyone with information and added: “I think I have an idea of who it is but I need confirmation.

“I was a woman by myself – how would you feel if it was your daughter or mother? Please put yourself in my position if you know anything please come forward.

“Don’t be like these people - follow Jesus Christ and God and help each other out. We’re all human we all bleed the same.

“Stop being horrible to one another and please let’s stick together and find these people.

“I’m not ashamed to post this and I don’t care who has a good laugh at me about this post because you will have to explain to God why you are so evil not me.

"We’re alive for what? 70 years? But we will be under the ground for hundreds of years. So laugh all you want I don’t care.”

The property has since been boarded up following the Monday night attack.

Nikia was dubbed a “home-wrecker” and a “prostitute” by her husband’s Traveller family and hit the headlines when she revealed that she was naming and shaming love cheat men who message her pestering for sex.

She is a “gorger” – a non-Traveller who has married into the community – which has seen her come in for harsh criticism.

Nikia told The Sun: "A lot of traveller girls call me a wannabe and other not nice names, such as prostitute and home-wrecker.

"When I was living on a caravan site, I didn't feel accepted. Every girl was looking at me weirdly because I'm not the same as them.

"I didn’t want to be the same as them, I have no interest in acting that way, I just was myself and a lot of people didn’t like that.

"It’s really difficult being married to a traveller, just because you get judged, looked at and talked about. It’s not a very nice community to be in as a gorger person.

The former Hayfield School pupil also decided to create a video exposing men who had asked her for sex, saying: "A lot of men have been messaging me, trying to get me to cheat, I’m sick and tired of it.

"I feel disrespected and like the men think I’m easy because I’m not a traveller.

"When it happens, I show my husband the messages and I've blocked so many people, it's ridiculous.

"They say absolutely foul things, ‘I want to sleep to you’, ‘I want to do things to you’, stuff I can’t even repeat. It’s just really disgusting."

The video named and shamed 20 married men – and went viral after getting more than 300,000 hits.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Officers responded at 5.31pm on Monday 20 May to reports of an aggravated burglary at an address on Brecks Lane.

“It is reported that five males smashed the windows of a property before gaining entry and assaulting a 24-year-old woman.

"The victim was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries that are not believed to be serious.”

“A scene was established at Brecks Lane and enquiries are ongoing.”
