Gang of youths sought after arson attack on Doncaster house and car

Police are hunting a gang of youths who set fire to a car and then attempted to set a house on fire in a Doncaster arson attack.

At 9.57pm yesterday (27 June) South Yorkshire Police were called by South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service to reports of a suspected arson in Crossfield Lane, Skellow.

A spokesperson said: “It is reported that a group of youths set fire to a silver Jaguar and attempted to set fire to a property but failed to do so.

“The property was unoccupied at the time and no injuries have been reported.

“A scene has been established at the location and enquiries are ongoing.”
