New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to four of Doncaster’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

The following ratings have been given to two restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: The Pitmans Pantry Cafe at Charda House, 194 Church Road, Stainforth, Doncaster; rated on June 13

• Rated 4: The Tuck-In at 82-84 St Sepulchre Gate, Doncaster; rated on May 10

And two ratings have been handed to takeaways:

• Rated 5: Lynn's Chippy at 103 Main Street, Mexborough, Doncaster; rated on June 13

• Rated 2: Homies at Unit 1, Milestone Drive, Wheatley, Doncaster; rated on April 18

The food hygiene ratings are:

0 – urgent improvement required.

1 – major improvement necessary.

2 – some improvement necessary.

3 – hygiene standards are generally satisfactory.

4 – hygiene standards are good.

5 – hygiene standards are very good.
