A cyclist has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a collision on a major Doncaster roundabout this afternoon.

The 25-year-old rider suffered injuries after the collision with a silver Vauxhall Corsa near to the Sidings Roundabout in Hyde Park.

The road is where White Rose Way and Carr House Road intersect.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “We responded to reports of a road traffic collision on White Rose Way, Doncaster, at 2.09pm today (18 June).

“The collision involved a silver Vauxhall Corsa and a 25-year-old male cyclist.

“The Yorkshire Ambulance Service was called to the scene and the cyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

“A scene has been established and enquiries are ongoing.”

An area of the roundabout close to Adrian Welch Glass and Glazing was sealed off, being guarded by several police cars following the collision, with heavy traffic also building up in the area.
