Warning as heavy and thundery rain could bring localised flooding in Doncaster over the weekend

Forecasters are warning of a mixed bag weatherwise over the next four days with sunshine, showers, heavy thundery rain and possible flooding.

Today it will remain cloudy through the afternoon with periods of mainly light rain which will turn dry by the evening with brighter skies in the west. Expect a maximum temperature of 21°C.

Tonight the cloud will continue to thin with long clear spells developing and a minimum temperature of 6°C.

Tomorrow it will be bright at first but cloud will slowly increase through the morning period. A slow moving band of locally heavy or thundery rain will move into the south of the area during the afternoon. There will be a maximum temperature of 18°C.

The outlook for Saturday to Monday is early rain clearing on Saturday leaving a dry but fairly cloudy day. Unsettled on Sunday and Monday with thundery showers, merging at times into longer spells of heavy rain.
