Doncaster’s hospitals have reached a coronavirus milestone after succesfully treating and discharging their 2,500th Covid-19 patient.
Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust announced it had reached the figure last week.
A spokesman said: “This week we safely discharged our 2,500th COVID-19 patient. Hopefully we will not have to go much beyond this number. Keep up the good work folks.”
The Trust currently has two coronavirus patients in its care while during the pandemic, more than 900 people have sadly died across the Trust’s hospitals.
